One year completed in my New Cubicle :)
...........................................................................................................

Exactly one year ago, I had written my first blog post from the new cubicle.
This day marks the completion of one year.
This has been a good year on the professional front. :)
Thanks for the change. It's good to embrace change.

A Trip to 'City of Pearls' - Part II
Hmmm, welcome back. Reached Kacheguda
at 6.30am.
Called Sumit and got the Hotel address. Informed dad about the arrival.
The hotel is in Somajiguda.
Took a bus to 'Lakdi ka Pul' [I heard it as Ladki ka Pole].
From there to Errmanzil. Saw the VishnuPriya Hotel board.

Asked the hotel owner about the room and said I need to pay !!!
Called Sumit and then realized that I had to pay the advance and Sumit would later clear the hotel bill.
Uff, Out of 800 rupees, 500 gone for Advance :(
Then, 202 was the room allotted to me. Wow, TV hai. But kuch nahin aa raha hai.
I went back to the owner and complained. He assured me that it'll be alright in few hours.
OK,after a fresh cold water bath, I leave for
breakfast .
Plan: First Birla Mandir and then to Salarjung Museum and then back to Hotel and to Reception.
Took a bus to Birla Mandir. Reached around 1010hrs.
1030hrs: Started walking towards the temple.
A huge statue welcomes you.
Belongings need to be handed over. Three tokens to be taken.
One for Mobile,
One for Bags,
One for Footwear.
:)
As you climb up the stairs, after the Lord Ganesha, Hanuman and Shiva temples you can see a beautiful Krishna statue surrounded by plants. Wonderful sight!!! As if Lord Krishna is standing in the park. Then, Goddess Durga statue is also present.
As you enter the main entrance, the GitaUpdesh welcomes you. Further left, Shiva-Partvati vivah adds to the beauty of the temple.
Then its time to get the blessings of Sri Sai Baba.
Wonderful view from the temple top.
One can see the Hussain Sagar lake on one side and the city on the other.
After Sri Sai Baba temple, one can visit the Lord Venkateshwara temple.
Superb, maybe exact replica of the Tirupathi Statue.
Actually, I missed the library on the way to top. It was closed. :(
Hmmm, after the Lord Venkateshwara darshan, it's time to visit the shop on the way down before collecting the belongings (three tokens wala).
I bought a photo of the lord and a book : learn 15 languages thru Hindi and English. 60rupees.
:)
After collecting the belongings, I start my walk back to the hill bottom.
On enquiring about the main road, I was guided to the AP Tourism Board
and they guided me about the places to Visit.
> Salar jung Museum, Chow mahalla palace, Snow World, Ramoji Film City, Char Minar, Mecca Masjid, Boating, Golconda Fort, Zoo, :)
Hmmm, now a break. Next post on SalarJung museum... Still, Snow World, Golconda Fort to be covered, train journey, reception...
...To be continued...

Love Story of a "TOOTHPASTE"
Good morning readers,
This is a real life story of a toothpaste.

I was born in a village where very few liked my family. Everyone was happy with with my enemy - the black coal powder. Anyways my childhood was spent being in a closed box with a toothbrush.
My brothers were given free of cost during dental checkups. During these days, I was noticing the change in the villagers perception about toothpaste. It was mainly due to the new doctor who was shifted to our village.
Me being the only girl child in the family, my brothers were very affectionate towards me. There were tonnes of proposals coming my way... And I had a crush on the 'Lifeboy' soap
. He was handsome and quite strong compared to other body soaps. Only competition to his strength came from 502 soap bar.
One could see the adrenaline rush on the face of my love - every time he exercised.
Those days arranged marriage was the norm. We had a different plan. Both loved each other... It was more of a divine love story. Initially it was difficult for our parents to agree. But somehow everything went smoothly. We were married and many relatives graced the occasion.
The chief guest was the doctor who by now was our family doctor. All the toothbrushes came and blessed us. The wedding hall was filled with the 'Rab ne bani di Jodi' and 'Jai ho' songs. It was good to see colorful kids of plastic granules enjoying the occasion and dancing to the tunes of 'Hum aapke hain Koun'.
The highlight of our wedding was the arrival of rubber, brush,, powder, towel, perfume, mirror, comb, cap all in a single air-conditioned bus to attend our wedding.
The nasal drops missed the wedding due to a personal problem. They sent their blessings through a telegram.
Ours was a happy family, thanks to God and all relatives. My brothers were the most happiest of all. By God's grace, we were blessed with our first child.
Now, guess who will be our lovely baby and win surprise gift...
Some clues: Liquid hand wash, shampoo...
