Finally, THE MOMENT arrived. Flight to Vietnam was scheduled to depart at 1245pm and I left home at 0645pm. I took an auto to Majestic and reached by 0725pm. From Majestic, I boarded the BIAL bus and the fare was 155Rs.
I sent an sms to all my friends and within seconds I started receiving calls and sms. :) good to have well-wishers. It took exactly an hour to reach the airport and the time was 0855pm.
Entry
The counter for Malaysian airlines was 42-46 and I asked in the counter about the procedure. The person asked me to wait for 10-15 mins. Again I'm early. After 15 mins, the queue started and suddenly an official (airport official maybe) asked my passport, reason for travel and browsed through each page of my passport.
Then at the counter, similar questions were asked and finally boarding pass was handed over to me. The cabin/checkin luggage (I'm confused and might be wrong) was taken away from me. I filled the immigration form and waited for my turn at counter 8. I presented the passport, she asked for flight ticket. I took back the passport and showed the flight ticket. She asked for passport and I took back the flight ticket. She seemed to get angry and asked me to give all documents at once. I thought - if she had told this statement at first, I'd have given all the documents at first. :) Finally she stamped some seal - maybe immigration seal and directed me for luggage check.
At the luggage check, the person asked me to remove the laptop, mobile and tag my baggage. I lost the tag and asked him about the tag. He pointed at a gate and after some search and with his help, he tagged my bag and my pouch.
I passed the metal detector test too :) walk, walk, walk and I reach the gate which says: 23.30 ... That means I have more than an hour before I can board my flight. Till then, let me chat, blog and think... Bye :)

Mixed Emotions - Friends get new job.

As the title reads - 'Mixed Emotions' is what I'm currently experiencing. I'm working in my current company since four years. I along with my six friends joined the company straight after college. The entire corporate culture was totally new to me.
After two months of joining, I received an email from one of the new friends that he is leaving the current company for a different company. I was shocked to know that he is quitting the company. It was quite a shock to me to know that people quit companies to join other companies.
Few months passed by, few more left, many more joined. I was used to people leaving and joining the company. Two years passed by, I made new friends, old friends became even more close friends. I got involved in different projects and was least worried on strangers leaving the company.
Four years passed and all of a sudden, for the past six months, close to eight of my friends planned to quit the company. I'm happy that they got new offers, better prospects and a new experience. even though I'm happy for them, I'm sad at the same time. I can no longer see my friends in the same company.
Being very emotional, I feel bad that I'm losing such good friends. Oh God, please give me strength and my best wishes to my friends.
The guy who taught me table tennis, who used to tease me, the one with whom I shared most of the jokes - he is leaving the current company. Idiot fellow - God bless him.
This too shall pass :)

I love my magic E63 :)
Hey friends, most of you must be knowing that I lost my mobile Nokia6233. I bought Nokia E63. My questions to the shopkeeper were simple: Any mobile which supports 'Skype, outlook and internet' ?
Some of the features such as 'touchscreen, qwerty keypad, slider handsets' were presented to me.
I always wanted a Nokia phone and preferred 'Bar' phone compared to slider or flip phones. Oh well, did I mention that I wanted the camera feature too. Finally, nokia E63 fit the bill.
I was concerned if the QWERTY keypad would be tough to use. I must highlight here that the slight doubts on the usability were cleared once I typed few pangrams.
So, with E63 fully charged and my sim with unlimited internet facility, I started browsing the net.
I found the following applications useful for me:
1. Google Search
2. eBuddy
3. Snaptu (YahooMail, Twitter, Facebook, Orkut, LinkedIn)
4. Skype
5. Dictionary
6. OperaMini
7. ScreenSnap (Application to capture screenshots on mobile)
8. Battery Extender
9. F Secure
10. SMS Preview
I configured the following applications:
1. Mail for Exchange
2. Google Maps
3. QuickOffice for 2007 files.
I feel quite powerful with my magic E63. I'm always connected to my online friends and this entire blogpost is composed using my mobile :)
Go for E63. Its a good business phone for just 9k.
